How It All Began
My Woolen Friends started in a simple, quite accidental way. In February 2020, I was scrolling through social media when I found an article with photos of sweet, joyful woolen creatures. It was the first time I had ever heard of needle felting. Just a week later, I had my starter kit and began a journey that quickly filled my days with joy and happiness.
At first, I didn’t know what to call my creations. I referred to them as “my woolen friends”—“woolen” because they’re all made of wool, and “friends” because that’s exactly how they felt to me. The name was authentic and fitting from the start, so it stuck!
What I Create and How
My Woolen Friends is where you’ll find unique, needle felted art in Berlin. Each one is handmade by me in Berlin, Germany. I use high-quality sheep wool, sometimes sourced from small or family-run businesses across Europe. This keeps my creations natural and environmentally friendly.
Needle felting is a meticulous form of wool sculpting. Depending on the design, size, and complexity, making a single piece can take three to seven hours. Please keep this in mind when considering the prices.
Over time, I’ve found my style: neat, whimsical, and playful. From the start, this craft brought positivity and improved my well-being. That’s why I only create items I truly enjoy making. I believe you can see this joy in every finished piece.
My Shop Philosophy
What began as a hobby is now my livelihood. To keep the spark alive, I don’t take custom orders—only the items you see in my shop are available. However, if something is out of stock, I’ll gladly make it again for you.

(DE) Wie alles begann
My Woolen Friends begann ganz einfach und ziemlich zufällig. Im Februar 2020 scrollte ich durch die sozialen Medien, als ich einen Artikel mit Fotos von süßen, fröhlichen Wollgeschöpfen entdeckte. Das war das erste Mal, dass ich von Nadel filzen hörte. Nur eine Woche später hatte ich mein Starter-Set zu Hause, und so begann eine Reise, die meine Tage schnell mit Freude und Glück erfüllte.
Anfangs wusste ich nicht, wie ich meine Kreationen nennen sollte. Ich nannte sie einfach „meine wolligen Freunde“ – „wollig“, weil sie alle aus Wolle sind, und „Freunde“, weil sie sich genau so für mich anfühlen. Der Name war von Anfang an authentisch und passend, also blieb er.
Was ich mache und wie
My Woolen Friends ist ein Ort, an dem du einzigartige, nadelgefilzte Dekorationen findest. Jedes Stück wird von mir in Berlin, Deutschland, von Hand gefertigt. Ich verwende hochwertige Schafwolle, die oft von kleinen oder familiengeführten Betrieben aus ganz Europa stammt. So bleiben meine Kreationen natürlich und umweltfreundlich.
Nadelfilzen ist eine sehr sorgfältige Art des Wollskulpturierens. Je nach Design, Größe und Komplexität dauert es drei bis sieben Stunden, um ein einzelnes Stück herzustellen. Bitte beachte das, wenn du die Preise betrachtest.
Im Laufe der Zeit habe ich meinen Stil gefunden: ordentlich, verspielt und ein wenig verträumt. Von Anfang an hat mir dieses Handwerk Positivität gebracht und mein Wohlbefinden verbessert. Deshalb fertige ich nur Stücke an, die ich wirklich gerne mache. Ich bin überzeugt, dass man diese Freude auch im Endprodukt sieht.
Meine Philosophie
Was als Hobby begann, ist inzwischen meine Lebensgrundlage. Um die Freude daran zu bewahren, nehme ich keine individuellen Auftragsarbeiten an – es gibt nur die Stücke, die du in meinem Shop findest. Sollte jedoch etwas ausverkauft sein, fertige ich es dir gerne erneut an.
